Terror Hunt: Don't run over human rights
Kozhikode: Media and political parties should keep a bit of dignity and honesty in dealing with the issues related with terrorism, said Mr. P Mujeeb Rahman, State President of the Solidarity Youth Movement. He attacked the media for its unbounded sensationalistic touch and political parties for making cheap and unintelligent 'go go' calls when it comes a terrorism linked issue. He opined it will result in only to harm the celebrated social harmony of Kerala people. New developments clearly point that those who trumped up terms like 'love jihad' have learned no lessons not to make more wounds on social harmony. He also expressed concern in the recent slithering of a portion of media and a sect of Congress leadership into the agendas of Sangh Parivar. He requested to confirm honesty and justice in the enquiry into the terror links of Madani and his wife Soufiya Madani. No one is beyond the law and order. The real culprits whoever they are, should be booked. But, it is a bitter fact that Madani was once imprisoned for almost ten years in charges of terrorism and was finally declared innocent. Now, taking hurry actions against him and his wife based on a few unclear phone calls and established propagation is so like denying justice and blocking human rights to his family. Mujeeb Rahman wanted people to be cautious about those who make extensive propagation to break the remarkable communal harmony in the State.
